The dual enrollment program at Florida Community
College provides eligible high school juniors and seniors with the
opportunity to earn high school and college credits at the same
time and at considerable cost savings. You may take specific college
or non-credit vocational courses that will apply toward both high
school and college credits at the same time. The courses will transfer
toward most university’s freshman and sophomore requirements. If
you take vocational courses you will be well on your way to preparing
for the workforce.
Who may participate in the program?
Juniors and seniors enrolled in
Duval County and Nassau County public schools and some private and
home schooled students may enroll in this program. You may enroll
in the dual enrollment program if you are a high school junior or
senior, have a certain GPA (see your guidance counselor for GPA
info), earn the required score on the College Board SAT,
ACT
or Florida College Entry Level Placement Test (CPT
or FCELPT), and have the permission of your parent(s) or guardian(s),
high school guidance counselor and/or high school principal.
