Accounting Technology

As long as there is money, those with a solid understanding of accounting will find work. Individuals and businesses both have a profound need for tax accounting and bookkeeping expertise (if in doubt, have a look in the current tax code).

Florida Community College's Accounting Technology program provides a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and theory, as well as a study of related business subjects. The program will prepare you for positions in the industry, federal, state and local government, and in public accounting.

The Accounting Technology Program is primarily designed for students who intend to seek immediate employment in the area of accounting. This program is also very beneficial for individuals who are presently using accounting and/or accounting information in their employment. The professional Certified Public Accountant candidate should follow the associate in arts degree (A.A.) for the business administration program of studies.

The Accounting Technology associate in science (A.S.) degree is based upon the development of a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and theory, and then seeks to develop your ability to apply this knowledge to problem situations. The program combines an intensive study of accounting and related business subjects with the internship program and general education courses to provide you with a solid foundation with which to enter the workplace.

This program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.

Are you looking for certificate options? Florida Community College offers you several options – Accounting Technology Specialist, Accounting Technology Operations and Accounting Management Technology
