Shannon

Featured Student - Paralegal

My internship experience has been a real handful and very educational. I have had the opportunity to assist in different law practices and to perform a variety of tasks ranging from assisting in drafting documents and closing files to sending correspondence to clients; from attending pretrial conferences, filing and recording documents to typing responses for interrogatories, preparing pleading indexes and bates-labeling documents. Interning gives you real-world experience with helping hands available to guide you. It also makes you realize that what is taught in the classroom is just a minor step in the learning process: my internship supervisor was always willing to assist me and made sure that I was staying busy. She really made the experience a great and enjoyable internship.
