Paralegal Studies (Legal Assisting)

Florida Community College's paralegal studies (legal assisting) program is an American Bar Association (A.B.A.) approved program offering an associate in science (A.S.) degree for those students who wish to continue their education by transferring to a four (4) year degree program or an associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree. The A.A.S. program is for those students who wish to enter the job market directly after completing their degree. See a listing of available paralegal assistant courses in the student catalog. You may also visit the frequently asked questions page for answers to common questions regarding the program. After you graduate, you may consider taking the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) exam. The paralegal studies program offers a CLA review course. For more information regarding the CLA exam, please view the eligibility requirements on the Certified Legal Assistant - review course page.
