Jim Simpson
Associate Vice President
Workforce Development and Adult Education
Jim Simpson is the associate vice
president of workforce development and adult education. Prior
to this position,
he served as the associate dean of business at Tomball College.
Mr. Simpson earned a master’s of business administration from
the Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
The workforce development and adult education
department has college-wide responsibility for facilitating the
development and successful implementation of the College’s
associate in science, associate in applied science, vocational
certificates, continuing education and adult education programs
(adult basic education, GED, adult high school, ESOL, and vocational
preparation instruction) in collaboration with the College’s
five executive and workforce development deans. Additionally,
the department staff implements and monitors the Career Trek
program, Co-Op and Internship program, career program advisory
committees, and Carl Perkins programs, as well as supervises
the curriculum services department, which houses the College’s
official curriculum files.
