Who is a Massage Therapist?
A massage therapist applies manual techniques with the intention of positively affecting the health and well being of an individual.

How is the job market for a career in Massage Therapy?

  • Massage therapy can be a full or part time career. The job market is good, as there are a variety of settings where it is found, as well as a private practice possibility.
  • Hourly or annual earning for the Certificate
  • Massage therapy is, for the most part, a cash-based business. Generally, a full hour massage costs approximately $60. One significant advantage is the ability to develop your own business as an entrepreneur.

Employment settings
Massage therapists practice in a variety of settings including, exercise gyms, spas, chiropractic offices, rehabilitation centers. Many massage therapists will go directly to the client’s home to administer treatment.

High school diploma or GED
Completion of TABE test with minimum scores of Math 9.0, Reading 10.0, Language 10.0
Completion of FCCJ application and successful interview

$1162.50 tuition (Florida resident)
$500 books, lab, etc.
