Pre-season Training at FCCJ

The FCCJ Volleyball Team worked very hard to be ready for the regular season. In spite of the hard work injuries came early to several players and this was a trying time for those players. Jessica Ford and Stephanie Vallone suffered quad muscle strains and were out for two weeks. Stephanie recovered fairly well and Jessica is coming along well as the staff is being careful with the starting setter. Sara Holland suffered a wrist injury while Vanessa Vargas and Krystal McKinley had to work through hamstring problems. Christina Hovestadt developed a hip or groin strain and was our for about a week.

Fortunately all of these players have recuperated and just in time as the season has begun.

The team took a trip to the FCCJ Outdoor Center at the beginning of pre-season to work on leadership training and team building activities. It was great fun and the players really got to know each other and the coaching staff.

The players learned a lot and worked very hard during the pre-season. We are looking forward to another great year with a very talented team.
