Answers to the questions.

1. How can I send and receive e-mail on campus?

You can send and receive your e-mail from any Florida Community College Campus Open Lab. E-mail on the campuses is Web-based and conveniently allows you to send and receive e-mail from any lab computer with a standard Web browser such as, Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. Both of these browsers are available in the Campus Open Lab.

2. How can I send and receive e-mail from home?

If you currently have Internet access through Florida Community College or another Internet Service Provider (ISP), you can send and receive e-mail from your Florida Community College student account using the same mail-to-Web gateway that is also available on campus.

3. What is my e-mail address?

Your e-mail address will be YourUserID@students.fccj.edu (example: joneszv@students.fccj.edu). You will be given a User ID and choose a password when you activate your account online.

4. What is Google Apps? Visit the Google Apps page for more information.

5. Does the College provide direct dial-up Internet access for students?

Yes, we provide limited dial-up internet access for students. All the information you need to know about setting up your computer is located on the Florida Community College Internet Dial-In System Web page.

6. How do I change/reset my student account password?

If you know your current password and just want to change your password or if you have forgotten your password and need to reset it, select from the links in this sentence.

7. I’m having problems activating my student account. Who do I contact for help?

If you have gone through the online account activation process and have received an error, please note the error and contact the Learner Support Center at 904.632.3151. You will be required to give them your full name, social security number and date of birth before they can assist you in the account activation process.

8. I’ve forgotten my UserID. What should I do?

If you have already activated your student account, you were issued a UserID as part of that process. If you have forgotten the UserID you were issued, go to Student Account Management.

9. I've forgotten my password. What should I do?

Same answer at above — see Student Account Management.

10. I’m using AOL and I cannot log into the Web mail. How can I access it?

Due to a bug in the way AOL’s Web browser functions, logging into the Webmail system does not work properly. In order to log in, you must minimize the AOL software, while signed on, and then start Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

11. What if my question isn't answered here? Who do I contact?

If you have questions regarding the items listed above, please call the Learner Support Center at 904.632.3151.
