Plan to Graduate and Need to Take the CLAST?
FCCJ now offers the computerized CLAST exam (CAT CLAST).
The CLAST (College Level Skills Test) is required for all non-exempt college students in Florida public colleges and universities. The CAT CLAST stands for the Computer Adaptive Test CLAST. This is the computerized version of the paper-and-pencil CLAST exam that is offered throughout the year. The computerized version allows you to take any section, excluding the essay portion, of the CLAST exam in a computerized format.
Any student may take the CAT CLAST who:
- Is taking (or retaking) the mathematics, English language skills, and/or reading subtests only and
- has written permission from his or her home institution and
- is taking the CLAST for the first time (or has not re-taken a subtest within the past 31 days).
You may register to take the CLAST by contacting the Assessment Center at Florida Community College’s South Campus. You’ll need an appointment with Judy Jones-Liptrot in order to complete a CLAST registration form. At the time of your appointment, bring your driver’s license or state ID card. Your request will require approximately 24 hours to be processed. There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee.
For more information, contact the South Campus Assessment Center at 904.646.2040 or e-mail Judy Jones-Liptrot.
