Important News for Students
Gmail is here! Students now have faster, more efficient e-mail. It’s still free and much more fun. Storage concerns? Not anymore with 2.5GB. Check out all of the exciting new Google mail functions — live chats with Gmailers, search technology and more. Log on to ARTEMIS/Connections. On November 1, the old e-mail system and everything in it was put out to pasture. Your Gmail address remains the same — userid@students.fccj.edu.
Just a click away ... students can use and preview many of the great FCCJ services and resources in the new student portal: Connections, including the ability to plan all your academic program requirements. There are new features and enhancements being added daily. Connections will soon replace Artemis as your personal FCCJ Web portal.
Computer labs on campuses have a lighter, browse-only version of Connections for FCCJ student use only. Enter using your student user ID and password. The Welcome screen includes the number of e-mails you have, evaluation of instruction status and much more.
Always ... that’s how often you should check your FCCJ e-mail. E-mail (now Gmail) is becoming the College’s preferred method of communication. Soon, your information regarding financial aid, records and student services will all transform from snail-mail to e-mail, and it will be delivered only to your FCCJ account. To access your account, log in to either Artemis or the new student Web portal: Connections.
