Credentials and Academic Programs
— the “university transfer degree” — accepted by any public university or college in Florida, and many private institutions. FCCJ offers nearly 80 transfer majors. About 40 percent of the student population is in the A.A. degree program.
— The Florida State Board of Education approved three new bachelor’s degrees for Florida Community College in January 2009. The new degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology Management. The College expects the new programs will be operating by Fall 2009. The new degrees join the College’s first four, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Networking; Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fire Science Management.
