Kent Campus Yard Sale raises $668 in
profit this week, with some additional money coming in that should
bring it to $700. This was such a win/win situation … people
got rid of their clutter, other people picked up special treasures,
and we had some fun in the midst! Thanks to all of you who donated
items for this sale. You made a difference! |

Martin Center and Open Campus reach UCC
campaign goals! It’s
a beautiful Monday — not
only because of the wonderful weather — but because we can
celebrate two groups who have gone above and beyond in our United
Communities Campaign. Please
help me congratulate the chairs of MCCS and Open Campus — Larry
Snell, Dr. Kimberly Hardy and Kathy Clower — on meeting their
campaign goals after only two weeks!
As they still have some spectacular events
planned, we know that their teams will continue to contribute
to the campaign. Congratulations
to these leaders! |

“Adopt
a Pet” Bank: The
North Campus business office (BAO) is getting a jump start
on the campus UCC by asking each department
to host an “Adopt
a Pet” bank.
We are asking for a
volunteer from each department to be a “foster
parent” to a pet bank. Please remember to feed
your foster pet. These pets thrive on pennies, nickels,
dimes and quarters and are particularly partial to Susan B.
Anthony and Sacajawea dollars. A word of caution — due
to the “leash law” for pets, we ask that your pet
is kept in a fenced area or on a leash at all times.
At the end of the UCC,
you may return your well fed pet to the BAO. The department
that has the “heaviest” pet will receive
a homemade “Never
Fail Chocolate” Cake.
To get the pick of the litter, hurry on down to the BAO and
select a pet. Adopt a pet bank, make a difference. |

Buy a Cookbook and
Support UCC! B.J.
Hausman, a member of last year’s
North Campus United Communities Campaign team, spent
endless hours gathering of recipes from employees for
a cookbook. They have arrived, but sales are very slow despite
how great they are! B.J. is selling these for $12.50 and all proceeds
will go toward our UCC. If you’d like a wonderful collection
of yummy recipes, you can contact B.J. at
x6762.
