2005 United Communities Campaign

Campaign Kickoff

Through your generous donations, you helped the United Way of Northeast Florida raise more than $21 million last year, and those funds touched the lives of more than 360,000 people in Northeast Florida, including over 121,000 children. You have also helped the Community Health Charities of Florida better the lives of thousands in north Florida through dollars raised in our workplace giving campaign last year.

These two agencies focus on what matters most — making a difference in the lives of people in our community. And from that mission, we've taken our theme for this year’s United Communities Campaign: United We Do What Matters.

This year’s College-wide goal is $72,500 (a 5 percent increase over last year’s pledges), and we know we can meet, even exceed this, because Florida Community College employees know “united we do what matters.”

Here’s more about the United Way of Northeast Florida and Community Health Charities.

United Way of Northeast Florida is focused on what matters most in our community - getting the best results and changing the most lives. When you give to United Way, you are doing what matters. Your contribution, combined with others, strengthens our community and brings about real change in northeast Florida. And, when that haUnited Way of Northeast Floridappens, we’re ...

Getting to the heart of what matters.

  • Impact matters – The results - children are nurtured; the elderly remain independent; families are enhanced; individuals become self-sufficient; youth are prepared for a productive adulthood.
  • Leadership matters – United Way brings together knowledgeable volunteers and community partners to identify and meet northeast Florida’s more critical needs. Then, we take your generous donation, combine  it with thousands of others, and invest in programs that get the best results and improve the most lives.
  • Our community matters – As an outcomes-focused investor and community builder, your local United
Way has been a driving force behind initiatives and collaborations that provide solutions to northeast Florida’s critical needs.

Community Health Charities - Community Health Charities is the largest workplace giving program devoted exclusively to health.

We are many faces. We are your daughter living with Diabetes. We are your motherCommunity Health Charities or father searching for a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease. We are the child at sitting next to you at the baseball game. We are everywhere and we give to our health!
