The mission of the FCCJ Chapter of FACC is to strengthen the position of Florida’s community college system by supporting the Association’s legislative agenda and to foster camaraderie among all college employees by expanding participation in professional development, service and other college activities.
FACC
is the professional association for the employees of Florida’s 28
public community and junior colleges, serving as their advocate
to the legislature and actively promoting and supporting their efforts
to provide the citizens of Florida with the best possible community
college system.
The purposes of the FACC/FCCJ Chapter are:
- To carry out the goals and purposes of the
state organization of FACC at the local level.
- To play and active role in promoting legislation
beneficial to the college system and to disseminate information
to members regarding pertinent legislation.
- To facilitate communication and cooperation
among the employees of the college.
- To serve as a campus FACC membership committee
by assisting the membership chairperson with the organization
and execution of the annual membership campaign.
- To establish an election procedure for the
election of delegates to the Assembly of Delegates and voting
representatives to each Commission, as provided by State By-Laws.
- To promote public understanding and
support of Florida
Community College at Jacksonville.
