Four Florida Community College students named to All-Florida Academic Team
Four Florida Community College at Jacksonville students have been named to the 2008 Phi Theta Kappa All-Florida Academic Team. Florida Community College student Wesley Wolfenbarger was named to the First Team, and students Brandon Cerge, Brett Harvey and Amy McDonald were named to the Second Team. A total of 104 students were recognized from Florida’s 28 community colleges, one independent college and one independent university.

The program honors public and private community college students for their academic excellence and leadership. The members are also nominees to the USA Today-sponsored All-USA Academic Team for Community and Junior Colleges, and are eligible for additional scholarships and awards.
Nomination criteria included grade point average, participation in honors programs, membership in honors organizations, awards and honors received, community service and service to the college. A rigorous application process included letters of recommendation from faculty, administrators and mentors.
