Details: On Tuesday, March 4, Travelers of Florida Vice President of Claim, Pat McCrink, will present the title to a totaled 2005 Nissan Sentra to Florida Community College President Steven Wallace. McCrink will also present the vehicle, which students have already begun working on in their lab. Prior to Travelers of Florida’s donation of totaled vehicles to FCCJ’s Collision and Repair program, students had to practice their skills on random bumpers, fenders and other auto parts. The Nissan, the first of five vehicles to be donated by Travelers to the college, will enable students to gain real-world diagnostic and repair experience, which will set them up for success as they enter internships at dealerships and repair shops. With the presentation, Travelers continues a tradition of educational support, helping students gain the skills necessary to ensure an ample supply of properly trained technicians to meet consumer needs.
Travelers of Florida executives Pat McCrink, Vice President of Claim and Bruce Bode, Claim Manager will be on hand for the presentation, along with FCCJ President Steven Wallace, Downtown Campus President Edythe Abdullah and program students.
