Kimberly Elam is a Designer and department head of Graphic and Interactive Communications at the Ringling College of Art and Design. Her published works include “Expressive Typography: Studies in Proportion and Composition,” “Grid Systems: Principles of Organizing Type,” and “Graphic Translation, A Graphic Design Project Guide.” Awards include the Poynter Institute Fellowship, Ohio State University Distinguished Teaching Award, and Ohio Arts Council Graphic Design Fellowship. She has lectured internationally and her current work focuses on the development of a Web site for design educators.
