Florida Community College introduces Catering technical certificate program
North Campus Food and Beverage Management program open house December 9

Florida Community College is introducing a new option for students interested in rapid entry into a career in Food and Beverage Management. The technical certificate program in Catering is offering an Information Session on Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mallard Room, Bldg. E, at the College's North Campus.

Attendees will meet with a representative from the College’s Institute of the South for Hospitality and Culinary Arts to tour the classrooms and labs. They will learn about the training needed to get started in a catering career.

The Catering Certificate program provides students with basic catering and management skills for a career in the Food Service and Hospitality Industry, one of the largest and fastest-growing in Florida. Courses include Food Production, Sanitation and Safety Management, Food and Beverage Purchasing, Catering and Buffet Management, a Hospitality Internship and other related courses.

Certificate completers may opt to enter the workforce or continue their studies toward a degree. The certificate program articulates directly into the Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degrees in Culinary and Restaurant Management programs.

North Campus is located at 4501 Capper Road. To reserve a space for the Information Session call 904.766.5572.
