
Florida Community College Continuing
Education will hold classes in digital desktop publishing
and Web design starting in January. Classes
will meet at the FCCJ Deerwood Center, 9911 Old Baymeadows
Rd.
teaches
the career-minded, graphics-oriented Web designer how to create
custom Web sites using the popular software, Dreamweaver MX.
This weekend class meets on Saturdays, Jan. 31 through March
6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $149.
features
an overview of today’s most popular digital imaging software,
Adobe Photoshop. Students learn how to use filters,
layers, masks and painting tools to design and manipulate photos
for both Web and print publishing. Class meets on Mondays,
Jan. 26 – Feb. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuition is $140.
is
a basic level course that teaches students how to build and
manage a personal Web site using Microsoft FrontPage. Class
meets on Thursdays, from 6 to 9 p.m., Jan. 29 – Feb.
12. Tuition is $65.
will
meet on Tuesdays, Feb. 17 – March 9, from 6 to 9 p.m.
In this class, students learn how to operate the digital
camera, scan photos, alter pictures and format files for
the Web or printing. Tuition is $49.
introduces
students to desktop design tools and concepts using QuarkXpress
5 software. Students will learn to layout text and graphics
for brochures, newsletters, ads and magazines. Class
meets Thursdays, Feb. 19 – March 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost
is $135.
