time and money with idea-filled home improvement courses
offered by Florida Community College Continuing Education.

January 20 – March 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the FCCJ Deerwood
Center, 9911 Old Baymeadows Rd. Students will learn
how to enhance any room and stay within budget. Topics
include how to get started, color choices, wall coverings,
flooring, window treatments, accessories, room arrangement
and mixing old and new furniture styles. Tuition is $100.

furniture and other surfaces using paints, glazes, stencils,
design patterns and various application tools. Class

homebuilders expert advice on how to budget time, money and
resources when working with sub-contractors. Topics
include: building codes; financing; home site preparations;
materials and suppliers; flooring, siding, roofing, doors,
and windows; plumbing, and electrical; wells and septic tanks;
stairs, decks and fences. Class meets Thursdays, Jan.
22 – April 22, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at FCCJ South Campus, 11901
Beach Blvd. Cost is $295. Spouse may attend free
of charge.
