
FCCJ Continuing Education is offering
classes for homeowners interested in creating professionally
designed low-maintenance landscaping. Classes are
held at FCCJ South Campus, 11901 Beach Blvd.
teaches
students how to design a customized landscape plan that incorporates
native plants, outdoor living spaces, walkways, hedges, flowerbeds,
water features, trees and patios. Taught by a professional
horticulturist, this course meets on Wednesdays, Feb. 4 – March
3, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuition is $95 and includes a textbook. Spouse
may attend free.

on Mondays, Feb. 23 – March 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This
class gives students valuable information on selecting low-maintenance
plants that thrive in North Florida's climate. A planting
calendar along with tips on how to control pests and weeds
without harming the environment will be shared. The
cost is $35.
Students

at any FCCJ Enrollment Service Office or by telephone. First-time
FCCJ students must complete an application and pay a one-time
$15 membership fee.
