Florida Community College North Campus to host Free Family Literacy Fair
Celebrity readers include Mayor Peyton, city council members, media personalities

What: "Family Literacy Fair 2003"
When: Saturday, August 16, 10 a.m.-1 p.m..
Where: Florida Community College North Campus 4501 Capper Road (I-95 and Dunn Avenue or I-295 and Dunn Avenue)
Cost: Free. Lunch will be available, but reservations are encouraged.
Details: Among the confirmed Exhibitors are The Florida Writers Association, Jacksonville Public Library - Highlands Branch, Learn to Read, Amelia Island Book Festival, Borders Books, Educational Community Credit Union, Florida Community College Departments. There will also be live broadcasts from a local radio station (Clear Channel) and television station. Our confirmed Celebrity Readers to date include Mayor John Peyton, Councilwoman Glorious Johnson, Councilman Reggie Fullwood, Edward King (Dupont Foundation), John Hirabayashi, Victoria Lopez, Dawn Lopez (CBS), Ju’Coby Pittman, Martha Barrett, Angela Spears (NBC) Florida Community College Trustees Suanne Thamm and Linda Asay, Florida Community College President Dr. Steven R. Wallace and Kent Campus President Dr. Duane Dumbleton. Prizes from the following businesses have been confirmed: Blockbuster Video, Sonny's, McDonald's, Cingular Wireless, Pizza Hut, Belk, Wal-mart, Applebees and North Campus Service programs.
