Florida Community College Dental Hygiene program ranks in top fifth

Florida Community College at Jacksonville’s Dental Hygiene program places within the top fifth of dental hygiene programs nationally, as ranked by the American Dental Association. Florida Community College at Jacksonville students taking the March 2004 National Board Dental Hygiene Examination ranked fortieth out of 243 institutions. The American Dental Association Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations, Department of Testing Services utilizes the average performance of students taking the examination to rank program performance.

Data provided by the ADA also includes a decile rating. A rating of 10 is assigned to programs with the highest average raw score performance. Florida Community College at Jacksonville earned a decile rating of nine.

The March 2004 performance ranking was a significant improvement over the College’s previous ranking of 196 out 243 programs.
