Florida Community College offering Small Business program open house
Five-month program yields a business plan to take to the bank

Florida Community College at Jacksonville’s Small Business program is back by popular demand this Fall, in an expanded version. A free open house to introduce prospective students to the program is being offered July 13, at 6-7 p.m.

The program is an intensive progression of four sequential courses, including Intro to Business, Advertising, Applied Accounting and Small Business Management. Each course meets one night per week for eight weeks, with the exception of Applied Accounting which meets for sixteen weeks. Additional online instruction and individual projects are included in the program. Successful completers will be awarded a college credit technical certificate, and will have a comprehensive business plan they can present to banks and potential investors, if they wish. Classes begin in September and end in January.

The open house will be held in Room F-128 (Auditorium) at the College’s Kent Campus, 3939 Roosevelt Blvd. It is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested. For reservations or more information, call 904.381.3604.
