
Florida Community College’s Aviation
Center of Excellence has regularly scheduled “Second
Tuesday” opportunities to explore career choices at Open House
events. Upcoming dates include July 12 and August 9, from 5-7
p.m.
Both Open House events will provide career
training information for prospective students in the fields
of Flight Training, Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Operations.
Flight Training offers the professional pilot
associate degree program. In addition to a degree, students
can also earn multiple FAA certifications including ground
instructor and flight instructor.
Aviation Maintenance offers
associate degrees in Aircraft Airframe Mechanics, Aircraft
Powerplant Mechanics, Avionics (Avionics Installer) and Aviation
Maintenance Management.
Aviations Operations prepares students
to pursue a career in aviation technical, administrative
or management positions. Successful completers can gain the
entry-level knowledge and skills needed to become an airline
business manager, air traffic controller or airport manager.
