Weekend classes to be offered at FCCJ Deerwood Center
Florida Community College will hold a variety of continuing
education classes on Saturdays, beginning in May, at the FCCJ
Deerwood Center located at 9911 Old Baymeadows Rd.
will
meet for three Saturdays, May 7–21, from 1:30 to 5:30
p.m. Students
will learn how to operate the digital camera, scan photos, alter
pictures and format files for printing or the Web. Tuition
is $49.
teaches
the aspiring professional Web designer how to create custom Web
sites using the software Dreamweaver MX. Class meets Saturdays,
May 14–June 18, from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Cost is
$149.
meets on Saturdays, May 14–July
16, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. This healing, meditative exercise is
suitable for all ages and physical conditions. Tuition
is $65.
introduces students
to basic camera operations, from shutter speeds to lighting. Fine
art, nature, photojournalism, portraiture and commercial photography
will be explored. A manual SLR 35mm camera is required. Class
meets on Saturdays, May 14–July 16, from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost
is $59.
gives students
the skills to design and manipulate photos using the popular
digital imaging software, Photoshop CS. Class meets on Saturdays,
June 4–18, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $140.
