Registration extended to June 5 for summer high-school classes through Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and Florida Community College
Classes begin June 5 and continue through July 14

Registration for summer intervention high-school classes at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and Florida Community College Downtown Campus has been extended through June 5. Space is still available for students in grades 9–12 needing another opportunity to obtain passing grades — and high-school credit — toward promotion or graduation.

Summer classes will run for six weeks, June 5–July 14. Registration continues June 2 and June 5 at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, 123 Bethel Baptist Street, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. There is a registration fee of $250, due at registration. Registrants must have with them their report card and FCAT scores, Social Security card, birth certificate or driver’s license and a waiver from their school. A parent or guardian must accompany students to registration.

Specialized lab courses are available at Bethel Baptist and at Florida Community College’s Downtown Campus. Student attainment of competencies will be verified by testing and/or portfolio assessments.

FCAT Enhancement is also available for 12th graders who failed the FCAT but have completed all other graduation requirements.

Bethel Baptist Church is located at 215 Bethel Baptist St., and may be reached by calling 904.354.1464. The College’s Downtown Campus is located at 101 W. State St. For more information call 904.632.5094.
