Excellence in Nursing Conference May 5
The Florida Community College at Jacksonville Department of Nursing is hosting the Third Annual
Excellence in Nursing Conference on May 5, 2006, from 7:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m. The keynote speaker is Peter B. Angood, M.D.,
vice president for JCAHO, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Angood is also chief patient
safety officer for the Joint Commission International Center for Patient Safety, a new initiative co-sponsored by JCAHO
and Joint Commission Resources.
Joining Angood on the speakers roster are a number of regionally and internationally known
nursing and health care educators, including Audrey L. Nelson, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, Center Director, Patient Safety Center
