Florida Community College at Jacksonville is offering a wide variety of open-house opportunities for Spring term 2007 for prospective students seeking to continue their education or enhance their careers. Students will find short-term training yields long-term benefits with in-demand careers that pay well. Locations, times and contacts vary; see listings below. RSVPs are requested but not required.
Downtown Campus Interactive Workshops: Interactive workshops are held at the Advanced Technology Center, 401 W. State St., the first and third week of every month. Programs featured include Automotive and Diesel Technology, Business, Child Care, Computer and Information Technology, Construction Management and Welding, Engineering, Office Administration, Manufacturing and Industrial Technology, and Biomedical Engineering. Workshops are scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Jan. 3, Jan. 17, Feb. 7, Feb. 21, Mar. 7, Mar. 21, Apr. 4 and Apr. 18. Evening workshops are scheduled for 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Jan. 4, Jan. 18, Feb. 8, Feb. 22, Mar. 8, Mar. 22, Apr. 5 and Apr. 19. For more information or to RSVP call 904.361.6353.
Aviation Center Open House Events: Open House at the FCCJ Aviation Center of Excellence events are held monthly at 13450 Lake Fretwell Street at the Cecil Commerce Center. Learn about programs in Aviation Airframe and Powerplant, Aviation Maintenance Management, Aviation Operations and Professional Pilot Technology. Kent Campus Accelerated Programs Information Session: Learn how to earn an associates degree in 18 months or less in Business Administration and Elementary Education programs.
