DETAILS: “Uncommon Stillness” is the title of a solo exhibit by Christian fine art photographer David Gilbert. Subtitled “A Focus on Faith,” this collection of prints is remarkable for two reasons: the artistic vision and the levels of meaning each image offers. Subjects range from dangling twine to a Skylark convertible; from masking tape to a sunken sailboat. Reflections, shadows, mist, color, light, cross shapes, fractured footprints—all are tools for visual impact and personal meditation in this fresh and unusual show.
Gilbert has earned national recognition for his work and is currently represented by several galleries in Florida and his home state of Connecticut. He moved to Northeast Florida two summers ago to combine his faith with his passion for photography on a full-time basis.
