Florida Community College Career Development Centers offering series of free workshops for National Career Development Week

Florida Community College at Jacksonville is offering free workshops Nov. 13-16 in recognition of national Career Development Week. Each campus has scheduled a workshop, free and open to the public, as well as a free online presentation that is accessible by visiting the College’s Web site. The workshops are as follow:

“Writing Effective Cover Letters and Dressing for Success,” presented by Lee Offutt, employment specialist, WorkSource. Nov. 13, 11 a.m.-noon. South Campus, Bldg. U, Room 108, 11901 Beach Blvd.

“Charting Your Path for Career Success,” presented by Tami Beaty, assistant director, Nova Southeastern University. Nov. 14, noon-1 p.m. Kent Campus, Bldg. E, Room 104, 3939 Roosevelt Blvd.

“Building a Personal Brand,” presented by Candace Moody, vice president, WorkSource. Nov. 15, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Downtown Campus, Bldg. A, Room 1018, 101 W. State St.

“Employment Trends for the First Coast,” presented by Denise Green, manager, Workforce Development. Nov. 16, 10-11 a.m. North Campus, Bldg. E, Room 170, 4501 Capper Road.

An online presentation by Candace Moody, “Find Your Voice: Communicate at Work!” will be available for viewing all week long. Just visit the College’s Web site.
