Using the latest Data Security and Bio-Technology information and equipment, along with other tools of forensic science campers will become Youth Crime Scene Investigators. This highly interactive and fun camp will help students to:
- Develop their ability to use logic and apply strategies to problem solving;
- Develop analytical and reasoning skills;
- Form logical explanations about cause-and-effect relationships in investigations;
- Develop a new appreciation for science and technology.
The CSI campers will examine a “crime scene,” collect evidence, perform analysis, use forensic techniques, extract DNA, identify fibers, explore the field of data security and more. Camp instructors are subject-matter experts from Florida Community College faculty. Additional outside professional resources from: Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, FDLE, and the Florida Department of Health will bring their expertise into this fun-packed learning environment.
