Cecil Field Airfest patrons will enjoy the thrill of flying a rocket-powered aircraft at FCCJ Aviation Center on May 19 — Free!
Orbital Commerce Project Simulator takes to the (simulated) skies

What: Free “rides” on Orbital Commerce Project’s rocket-powered aircraft simulator. Sponsored by FCCJ Aviation Center of Excellence during Cecil Field Airfest.
When: Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Where: Florida Community College’s Aviation Center of Excellence at Cecil Commerce Center (directions)
Cost: Admission free and open to the public. (Vendor item costs vary.)

Details: A rare opportunity to explore the young industry of suborbital space flight — for free — is being offered to attendees at the Cecil Field Airfest. Corporate pioneer Orbital Commerce Project, formed to provide suborbital flight training to businesses and individuals for space tourism and commercial space industry, is providing the simulator.

The Airfest will offer dozens of vendors and family-friendly activities, including classic auto, military, commercial and general aviation and motorcycle exhibits, a “Kid Zone,” live auction, a “Poker Run,” Jacksonville Jaguars and live radio show. Many free activities, including tours of FCCJ Aviation Center and aircraft.
