Details: Everyone is talking about it. Is it really happening or is it all just politics? Is it merely melting a few icebergs as part of a cyclical pattern or have we as a civilization upped the ante? How will it affect Jacksonville and what can we do about it?
Gail Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Ohio University, a Masters Degree in Geology from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of New Mexico. He is a Licensed Professional Geologist in the State of Florida, a Certified Professional Geologist through the American Institute of Professional Geologists, and a Registered Environmental Professional through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals and International Society of Technical and Environmental Professionals. Gibson recently retired as a professor and administrator at Florida Community College.
This lecture, on the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, is being given to honor those who have suffered because of this catastrophic event. We invite all who were affected by Katrina to attend so they might be recognized.
