Free admission to Florida Community College’s North Campus Family Literacy Fair includes live performances by celebrity readers, storytelling, age-appropriate reading activities and lists, free books, face painting, prizes, surprises and free lunch. The Northside Storytellers will present at 10 a.m.; Ritz Theatre Executive Director and Storyteller Carol Alexander will present at 11 a.m.; special guest readers will read to children grades K-8 (in age-appropriate groups) at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.; followed by distribution of free books. Free lunch will be provided at 11:30 with live entertainment and activities. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office professionals will be on hand with patrol cars and mounts.
