“Around the World Hors D’oeuvres” Cooking Class at the FCCJ Nassau Center

Just in time for holiday entertaining, the Betty P. Cook Nassau Center is now enrolling students for a new cooking class, “Around the World Hors D’oeuvres.” This fun, non-credit class is designed for at-home chefs. The class will meet Wednesday afternoons, November 28 and December 5 from 1 to 4 PM. Chef Bill Castleberry will lead students in hands-on preparation in each class with kitchen tested recipes. Recipes include Vietnamese Crab and Pork Spring Roll, Brie and Papaya Quesadillas, and Reuben Bites, among others. Wine pairing for selected hors d’oeuvres will be discussed. The class will be in the new, state-of-the-art, culinary kitchen at the Lewis “Red” Bean Nassau Technical building at the FCCJ Nassau Center in Yulee. The cost of the class is $75 which includes the cost of supplies. First time FCCJ students will be assessed an additional $15 membership fee.
