The Florida Community College at Jacksonville Department of
Nursing is hosting the Fourth Annual Excellence in Patient Safety Conference on June
13 at the Nathan H. Wilson Center, FCCJ South Campus, 11901 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville,
7:45 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
The program is approved for contact hours for nurses through the
Florida Board of Nursing and through the Professional Board of Regulations for all
other disciplines. Registration fee is $75 before May 10; $100 after. For details on

Keynote Speaker is James B. Conway, MAM, CHE., senior vice
president at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. He was EVP and COO of
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute 1995-2000. Prior to joining Dana-Farber, he had a
27-year career at Childrens Hospital, Boston. His areas of expertise and
interest include executive leadership, patient safety, change management and
patient/family-centered care.
Joining Conway on the speakers roster are a number of
regionally and internationally known nursing and health care educators, including
