FCCJ Summer Arts Institue culminates in Share Day July 20
Friday, July 20 is “Share Day” for the Summer Arts Institute at the South Campus of Florida Community College. The program, in its fifth year at FCCJ South Campus, spotlights the varying artistic works of 59 students all aged from 13 to 17. These students have been taking classes for two weeks in their choice of Creative Writing, Playwriting, Acting, Cartooning, Graphic Arts, Black and White Photography, Digital Photography, Print Making, Mixed Media and Metal Sculpture. The Share Day program starts at 2:30 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. The program will be held in the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts, Room M1140.
Students from Duval County, St. Johns County, Clay County and Nassau County participated in this Governor’s Summer Program this year. The Summer Arts Institute was one of nine in the state awarded this distinction this year. Parents, family, and community friends are invited to attend free of charge and see all the incredible artistic achievements these students created in just two weeks.
