Florida Community College Business Writing Academy begins Sept. 25
Florida Community College’s Business Writing Academy will be held on Tuesdays, Sept. 25-Oct. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This popular series is a comprehensive review explored in these modules: Grammar and Usage; Business Writing Style; Proofreading; Letters, Memos, Reports and Proposals. Tuition for the full series, including two books, is $325. Individual modules cost $65.
Designed to improve the writing skills of office staff or as a refresher for seasoned writers and professionals, this series provides time-saving techniques for creating professional documents that communicate clearly and effectively. Upon completion of the series, students will receive an FCCJ Certificate of Completion.
The series is taught by Deborah Hoag, a contributing writer for Jacksonville’s “Arbus” and “Folio Weekly.” A former managing director for AT&T, Hoag was a columnist for numerous publications in Japan.
Classes will be held at the FCCJ Urban Resource Center, 601 West State Street. Students may register at any FCCJ campus Enrollment Office or online.
