(Media note: 1,335 GED graduates, 18 Adult High School and 40 graduates from Pathways Academy Charter School are graduating [total 1,393] although not all are participating in the ceremony. One GED graduate, a gentleman who sold cars for 40 years, turned 80 years old on March 26. He is willing to speak to media but is uncertain whether he will attend the graduation.)
Mr. N. Wyman Winbush II
Mr. N. Wyman Winbush II is serving a second consecutive term as Chair of the District Board of Trustees. Mr. Winbush has served on the Board since 1999. He is a sales manager for IBM and serves as Captain in the Naval Reserves at NAS Jacksonville. He received a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and his M.B.A. degree from Jacksonville University. In addition to his experience on the College’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Winbush previously served six years as a member of the Florida Community College Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and has served in numerous community volunteer roles including that of a featured facilitator for Volunteer Jacksonville’s Blueprint for Leadership program.
