Meeting Summary - Oct. 14, 2008

1.	Detailed Paycheck Information Yvonne Horner will look into having more accurate and detailed information put on employee paystubs.
2.	Employee Retention After Disaster Dr. Wallace said that Gerald Orso and Dr. Arab will work on the details and bring back to next CEOV.
3.	CEC Survey Dr. Wallace asked Gerald Orso to send him the sample of the APC survey that Bill Ganza had sent to him, and more discussion will follow next CEOV.
4.	State College Status Dr. Wallace said the Pilot College work group has completed their report and that he agrees with all their recommendations. The Commissioner’s Task Force, of which he is a member, has not moved as fast; but both groups’ recommendations will be submitted at the same time. He said FCCJ needs to decide its new name by end of this calendar year and will need to have “State College” as part of the name in order to designate it as a baccalaureate-granting institution.
5.	State Funding Dr. Wallace said nothing has actually changed. After the November elections, there will be a revenue estimating conference; and there may be further reductions. He is concerned about next year because the first quarter of 2009 is projected to be the bottom.
6.	Revision of APM 06-1001 “Use of Vehicles” Dr. Arab is attempting to clarify that smoking is prohibited in or on all College-owned vehicles.
