2009 Benefits Recommendations

Dr. Arab gave a broad overview of the recommendations for the October Board meeting and said there would be more details forthcoming. Since the number of health insurance claims were higher but the employee participation was lower, a 11.2 percent increase will be recommended. The basic plan design and income structure will remain the same. Dental premiums will increase. Dependents’ vision premiums will drop. Employees will be educated in the fall and winter on any changes to 403(b).
