Adult Education Task Forces

Florida Adult Basic Education (ABE) Practitioners Task Force

ABE Florida is a comprehensive adult basic education program designed to provide practitioners in Florida with all the necessary components to be successful in a performance-based funding environment. ABE Florida includes state of Florida Department of Education approved frameworks, resources, assessment, a mailing list and Web site. The frameworks and resources are based on input from statewide practitioners as to what would be necessary for an ABE program to be successful under the workforce development guidelines and procedures. Florida English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Practitioners Task Force

The purpose of the ESOL Practitioners Task Force is to advise and recommend actions to the state regarding the ESOL program. The group consists of ESOL professionals and retirees around the state with high expertise in the discipline. Florida General Education Diploma (GED) Practitioners Task Force

The goals of the GED Practitioners Task Force is to review critical program issues and recommend appropriate action plans, establish consistent standards for performance measures and accountability components relative to GED, act as a program resource for GED Practitioners, and provide instructional area expertise, as appropriate, to Regional Training Councils and Literacy Centers. Florida Adult High School (AHS) Practitioners Task Force

The goals of the AHS Practitioners Task Force is to review critical program issues and recommend appropriate action plans, establish consistent standards for performance measures and accountability components relative to AHS, act as a program resource for AHS Practitioners, and provide instructional area expertise, as appropriate, to Regional Training Councils and Literacy Centers.
