General Educational Development (GED)
The GED (high school equivalency) examination is a battery of five tests administered at the North, South, Kent and Downtown Campuses every month. The testing schedules vary from campus to campus, and there is typically a four to six week waiting period between registration and the test date. Students must register for GED Testing Orientation to be an eligible test candidate. Students are required to:
- Bring a valid Florida driver’s license and/or identification card.
- Students under the age of 18 must obtain an age waiver by contacting Duval County at 904.381.3491.
- Pay a $50 fee at the time of orientation.
Applicants who do not keep their GED examination appointment must repay the fee to reschedule another appointment. GED registration fees are non-refundable.
Free GED QuickStart online classes are available.
Students who are members of FCCJ are eligible to complete the GED Practice Test for Free. Contact the Assessment Center nearest you to schedule an appointment.
