This is a selective access program. You must have CET 2759, CCNA certification or one year work experience in the field to enter.

This program incorporates the core courses from the Telecommunication Engineering Technology program and is designed for information professionals with prior degrees and/or experience in networking, and who wish to gain skills specific to converged networks. The program may also be appropriate for individuals in other professions who wish to gain an understanding of IP telephony and video over IP networks.

The program focuses on hands-on lab-based learning and is not at the engineering or theory level. Topics covered include traditional telephony systems, voice and video over IP, codes, quality of service, unified messaging, home integration, and many more relevant and current areas in converged networks. Students completing this program may continue in the Telecommunication Engineering Technology A.S./A.A.S. degree program and gain higher level converged networking skills.
