Technology (2239)
The Criminal Justice Technology program is under
the guidance of an advisory committee composed of community leaders
and administrators from local criminal justice agencies. This
assures that students will receive modern, up-to-date instruction
that is relevant to current practices in the field. Corrections
and general education courses are offered in the day and evening. This program offers an internship opportunity.

Criminal Justice
Special Topics: Bio-Terrorism provides a basic understanding of terrorism, groups, strategies, the employment of
biological and chemical toxins and an
overview of the national response plan. This is an ideal course for not only criminal justice students but to social
science students, healthcare providers and any student seeking to gain more information on the phenomenon of “terrorism.” It will explore the various analytical approaches to the study of terrorism, identifying terrorist groups, reviewing
terrorist tactics and examining police and government responses to reduce or control incidence of terrorism. This is an
online course that begins October 24, 2005 and ends December 16, 2005. The reference number is 219697.
Graduates of this A.S. program may articulate into a bachelors
in science program in criminal justice at any state of Florida
public
university. This program also articulates into a bachelors
in criminal justice administration program at Columbia

Education Requirements.
You have two options in this program: the associate in science
(A.S.) degree, which can prepare you for employment or transfer
to a state university, and the associate in applied science (A.A.S.)
degree, which is intended primarily for students who want immediate
employment after graduation. If you choose the A.S. degree you
must take MAC 1105, MGF 1106 or a higher level mathematics. The
A.A.S. degree requires MAT 1033 or higher. Please see an advisor
