
Nails Specialty (5702)
This is a selective admission
program. This program is for those students seeking certification
in manicuring/pedicuring and nail extension. A certificate of completion
enables students to qualify for state licensure in this specialty area.
This specialty program, which includes classroom
theory and laboratory practice, requires daily attendance. Courses are
offered during the evening hours, and are scheduled Monday through
Thursday, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at North Campus. For more information call

After successfully completing the program, students
are qualified to take the cosmetology examination for the manicuring/pedicuring/nail
extensions specialty, given by the Florida State
Board of Cosmetology.
This is a selective admission program that admits students in
the fall, spring and summer terms. Credit will be given for completion
of high school or the General Educational Development (GED) Test
as follows: .25 points per full year up to four years for work
experience, .5 points for high school diploma and .25 points for
completion of the GED. Official transcripts and GED scores, when
applicable, must also be provided at the time of application.
Estimated tuition is $455 (for Florida residents as of 7/05). Contact program manager
