Technical Certificate

Construction Carpentry Technician (6125)

As construction increases, so does the necessity for qualified, educated carpenters. In this program, you will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for an entry-level carpentry position. You will learn to safely operate hand and power tools; prepare work sites; and become skilled in the foundation formwork (wall, floor and roof framing; exterior trim). This technical certificate will also increase job skills and will complement the associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree.

Articulations
Students completing this program may transfer their coursework into the Carpentry Management A.A.S. degree program.

Cost
Estimated tuition is $1,520 (for Florida residents, as of 7/05). Contact the program manager for additional costs (textbooks, fees, materials, certifications).
