Industrial Management Technology (Electronics Engineering Technology) (2120)

Associate in Science

The Industrial Management Technology (Electronics Engineering Technology) degree program offers instruction in practical electronics engineering and is designed to provide instruction, hands-on training, and a strong management background for individuals who seek positions in electronics engineering or who need to upgrade their professional status in a current field. The degree will also meet the military’s occupation specialty (MOS) and rate related professional areas in electronics, communications, machining, and aviation electronics. According to the Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, industries with the highest levels of employment in this occupation are electronic instrument manufacturing, commercial equipment merchant wholesalers, semiconductor and electronic component manufacturing, architectural and engineering services, and aerospace product and parts manufacturing. The yearly wage for electronic engineer employees in these five industries is between $45,670 and $54,620 (Bureau of Labor and Statistics).

Credit can be obtained through completion of the required degree courses and/or evaluation of military/corporate American Council on Education (ACE) academic registry transcripts. Applicable credits will be awarded after an evaluation of the appropriate ACE transcript for military/corporate training following the recommendations of the American Council on Education Guide (ACE Guide).

A technical certificate, Electronics Engineering Management Technician, is available as an option within this degree program.
