HIM 2500 Quality Management — 2 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: HIM1300 and HIM1110. This course investigates the components of quality manage ment programs in health care including clinical quality improvement, utilization manage ment and risk management, as well as the medical staff and credentialing. Quality management in health information manage ment departments is explored through case studies. Two contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
